Hope Always: How to Be a Force for Life in a Culture of Suicide
Dr. Matthew Sleeth

We welcome, Dr. Matthew Sleeth to our church to speak about his latest book, Hope Always: How to Be a Force for Life in a Culture of Suicide.

Over the course of a year, ten million Americans will ponder ending their life. It is almost a certainty that someone you love has thought, is thinking, or will think about suicide. What will you say to them? How will you deal with suicidal thoughts if they cross your own mind? Dr. Sleeth believes Christians―and our churches―should be the first to offer hope. Are we prepared to do so?

As a physician and minister, Dr. Sleeth shares his personal and professional experiences with depression and suicide, challenging Christians to become part of the solution to our suicide crisis. With sound medical principles finding their rightful place beside timeless biblical wisdom, Hope Always offers the practical and spiritual tools that individuals, families, and churches need to help loved ones who are stressed and struggling.

We hope that you will come away the resources at your fingertips to build communities of hope that help save lives!

All are welcome to attend and we sincerely hope you will consider attending. We will also be live streaming Dr. Sleeth on our YouTube channel and we've also posted some local resources below.

Come early and enjoy a jazz concert in our courtyard!

We're hosting one of the city’s best rising young jazz quintets for your enjoyment. Bring friends and family of all ages to hear original jazz tunes, with coffee and light snacks. Admission is free and we will also be collecting new school supplies for students at Cheviot Elementary.
