God loves all people.  Every person is created in the image of God and is equally loved by God regardless of race, religion, gender, past mistakes, or current life struggles. God is love.

All people were created by God and were made to live in perfect relationship with God for eternity.  When sin entered the world, our relationship with God was broken. Death became a reality for all people. God desires that every person would be restored back into that perfect relationship with Him and could live with him forever in eternity.

Jesus is the Son of God who bore our sins on the cross so that we could be forgiven. This forgiveness is available to all people regardless of our past or current life situation.

The Holy Spirit is the presence of God who lives in every person who believes in Christ. The Holy Spirit gives every believer spiritual gifts,  wisdom,  guidance, the ability to understand Scripture, and the promise of His constant presence with us forever.   

Grace is a free gift of forgiveness given to us by faith in Jesus because God desires us to have it; Not because of anything we have done to earn it.  At CUMC, our church believes in the Grace given by God and the grace offered to others.  Grace saves us, strengthens us, sustains us, guides us to live the Christian life. 

There are no perfect people.  We are all in need of God’s Grace. The church is not a place for perfect people. It is a place where imperfect people are learning to love, grow and serve with other imperfect people. Our goal is to become more like Christ and to lead others to know Him and love Him.
