Lead Teacher - Bright Futures Westside

    Pay Range: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
    Job Type: Full-Time
    No evenings or weekends!

    This is a brand-new center anticipated to open in October 2023!

    What will you be doing?

    As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with the director and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, giving them the best experience in the area. We are looking for teachers interested in working with Infants, Toddlers, or Preschoolers! Responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 6 years in one assigned classroom.
    • Creating developmentally activities with curriculum that is supplied.
      • You can utilize not only the classroom but also:
        • Outdoor Playground areas
        • Learning garden for kids to interact and grow their own produce
        • LARGE indoor space when the weather is bad to run and play.
    • Using the latest technology: With tablets for each classroom, you get to communicate directly with parents and do all your tracking from our platform and app so you can focus on the kids and not paperwork.
    • Curating programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
    • Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
    • Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
    • Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

    Requirements:

    • Career Pathway Level 2 or higher required OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential ,Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field, Bachelor's Degree in any field
    • 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
    • Strong customer service skills and willingness to work as a team.
    • Ability to multitask and remain organized
    • Ability to work within regular operating hours
    • Must meet state criteria for child care employment
